I'm Patricia Wambui, an educator and a certified career analyst.

“For over a decade, I’ve walked alongside students, parents, and schools — first as a teacher, then as a mentor, and now as a career coach. My passion has always been to listen deeply, nurture potential, and help young people discover the path that truly fits who they are.”

Discover my journey.

Where it all began

For over a decade, I stood in front of high school students—not just to teach, but to truly listen. My journey started at St. Andrew’s School, Turi—one of Kenya’s leading institutions—where I grew not just as a teacher, but as a mentor. It was there that I learned the importance of nurturing both character and competence.

What opened that door was my lifelong passion for Spanish. A subject I loved since childhood became the path that led me into education. Through language, I discovered the power of communication, culture, and connection—insights that still shape how I serve today.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve mentored hundreds of students across Kenya—especially in remote and underserved areas where access to opportunity is often limited. That work continues even now. And across every region, one pattern has stayed with me: brilliant young minds filled with promise, but burdened by uncertainty about the future.

That quiet gap—between potential and direction—began to stir something in me. It planted the seed that would later grow into Nawiri.

The Turning Point

Over time, I realised that my love for teaching was really a love for transformation. I wasn’t just passionate about education—I was passionate about the clarity, courage, and growth it could unlock. Especially when rooted in identity, guided by faith, and shaped with intention.

That shift led me to pursue formal training as a certified career coach and analyst. I felt deeply called to walk with students and families during defining moments of transition—offering not just advice, but clarity, tools, and hope. For me, every conversation is about helping a young person uncover who they are, where they are going, and how to move forward with confidence.

My journey began with students and families, but along the way I discovered that professionals, too, often face seasons where clarity becomes the key to moving forward. That’s why I extend this same journey of clarity to them—because whether you are stepping into your first career or navigating your next chapter, clarity is the foundation that unlocks direction, purpose, and growth.

The Birth of Nawiri

Nawiri—which means “to thrive” in Kiswahili—was born from this conviction: that when young people understand who they are, they begin to walk with clarity instead of confusion.

Today, Nawiri is becoming a trusted guide to families and schools across Kenya. Through coaching programs, tools, and reflective conversations, we turn career transitions into defining turning points.

Our work isn’t just about helping students choose a career. It’s about helping them discover purpose, build confidence, and move forward with direction and dignity.

Why It Matters

Every student I coach, every workshop I design, and every conversation I have with a parent flows from a lived story—one marked by resilience, realignment, and grace.

I’ve walked through confusion. I’ve made the detours. And I’ve found purpose on the other side.

Now, I walk with others—so that the next generation doesn’t just choose what’s safe, but what’s meaningful.
So they can move with intention.
So they can thrive.
